The fire brigade list comes from your stock.

  • Per item or per receipt: UN number, hazard class, tunnel code and the technical description sit on the customer item card. If they differ per batch, you record them at receipt, for example with cross-docking.
  • Not together what may not be together: in a combination matrix you set which dangerous goods codes and packing groups may be stored together. If someone puts a pallet next to something it may not be stored with, Boltrics WMS shows an error.
  • The fire brigade list, automatically: the Warehouse - Dangerous Goods List report shows all stock with a dangerous goods attribute. The fire brigade list can be supplied automatically and digitally.

What the floor sees and stops

  • Locations that refuse: a location type can refuse items with a dangerous goods code, also per hazard class or combination. If someone still books something there, the booking stops with an error and they pick another location.
  • On the scanner: a scan function retrieves an item’s hazard data: UN number, dangerous goods code, description and hazard identification number.
  • In allocation: the hazard attributes can count as a criterion when stock is allocated.

Does ADR also cover storage?

No. ADR is about the transport of dangerous goods. In the Baltic states, storage falls under national rules from certain quantities onwards: in Estonia the Chemicals Act (kemikaaliseadus), in Latvia Cabinet Regulation No. 131 and in Lithuania Government Resolution No. 966. This is how the three countries transpose the EU Seveso Directive.

Which module is this in?

In the Hazardous Goods module of Boltrics WMS. With it you set the storage rules at customer item level.

Does this also work in Boltrics TMS?

Yes, for the trip. With the ADR condition the planner sees which orders and sections contain dangerous goods; the same condition also works for surcharges in your contracts. When you release the trip, Boltrics TMS checks the restrictions, such as ADR equipment on the truck and an ADR certificate for the driver.
