- VAL In full: value-added logistics
- Work done on goods between receipt and dispatch, such as repacking, kitting, labelling, rework and quality control.

- Moving goods that only pass through from receipt straight to dispatch, without putting them into the racking.
- In Boltrics cross-docking is a route through the warehouse, not a separate administration. Retail logistics: labels per chain

Customs
- Customs warehouse
- A warehouse where goods from outside the EU are stored without import duties or VAT having been paid, until they leave for free circulation or another customs procedure.

- See also: Excise warehouse, Temporary storage
- Excise warehouse
- The same principle for excise goods such as fuel, alcohol or tobacco: excise duty becomes payable only once the goods leave the warehouse for consumption.
- In Boltrics WMS you run excise and customs warehousing side by side on one stock, without posting anything twice. Customs inside your Boltrics WMS, TMS or FMS
- See also: Customs warehouse
- Temporary storage
- The short period right after arrival, before the goods have been assigned a customs procedure, subject to a 90-day limit.
- The status sits on the stock itself, so an inspector can see at any moment which goods are waiting for a procedure. Customs inside your Boltrics WMS, TMS or FMS
- See also: Customs warehouse
- T1 and T2
- T1 denotes non-Union goods on which import duties or VAT have not yet been settled; T2 denotes Union goods, free to move within the EU.
