EU-built custom software: your data stays in Europe

  • Code written in the EU, by our own team
  • Hetzner data centre in Germany or Finland
  • Backups stay in the EU
  • Contract with an Estonian company
  • Export at any time, in open formats

Code, hosting and support: all three in the EU

We write the code in the EU, with our own team. No offshoring and no subcontractors outside the EU. Whoever works on your software falls under EU employment law and works in an EU time zone.

Your software runs in a Hetzner data centre in Germany or Finland. Backups stay in the EU, with no automatic replication to regions outside Europe. Hetzner is a German provider without a US parent company, which puts it outside the reach of the US Cloud Act.

Support and invoicing stay in Europe. You sign your contract with an Estonian company, you pay in euros and support is available on working days from 07:30 to 18:00 Estonian time.

Your own tools keep working

We build with standard, modern web technology. If your business runs on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, that stays as it is. We guarantee that the software we build and host for you sits in the EU.

What you gain

Your GDPR check is done fast. Working in healthcare, government or financial services, or with special-category personal data? Then you show data location and applicable law with ease: one jurisdiction, one supervisory authority.

Data sovereignty. Choosing European infrastructure on principle, beyond what the law asks? Then we build on that with you.

Fast and reachable. The server is close by, so your software responds fast. And you reach support during your own working day, without waiting until the next morning.

Where your data sits

Hetzner Cloud, in Falkenstein (Germany) or Helsinki (Finland), depending on what fits you. Both fall under GDPR and German or Finnish supervision.

Backups run daily and stay in the same EU region as your production environment. Nothing syncs automatically to the US and there is no recovery copy outside the EU. Want a second EU location for failover? We set it up with you.

Logs, monitoring and metrics stay in the EU too, with no US tooling taking your telemetry outside Europe.

The same performance, under EU law

Functionally you notice no difference from software on AWS or Azure: performance, scalability and reliability are comparable at the scale we work at.

The difference is in which law applies and who you deal with:

  • Applicable law is EU law, with no second jurisdiction via a US parent company.
  • For an access request or an audit, you bring in an EU lawyer who talks directly to the right parties.
  • For an outage or a question, you speak to someone in the EU, not a night shift on the other side of the world.

Frequently asked questions

Do you only work with EU clients? No. Your business can be based anywhere; your software always runs in the EU.

Is this more expensive than AWS or Azure? For SME volumes, often cheaper: Hetzner costs less for comparable servers than the big cloud providers.

What if I want to migrate my data later? You export at any time: database dumps, files and configuration, in open formats. No lock-in and no proprietary format that only our software can read.

What is your position on the US Cloud Act? Our infrastructure provider (Hetzner) does not fall under the US Cloud Act. Our entity is Estonian, not American and not American-owned. A request from US authorities has no automatic legal basis in our setup.

Do you also work with Azure or AWS if the client requires it? In exceptional cases, yes: on the client’s own account and with the agreement that the software is then no longer EU-built. We advise against it.
